Since the start of the Scarborough
Boys Indoor Track and Field program in 1980, the team has been a part of
two indoor track conferences. They began in SMAA (Southwestern Maine
Activities Association) and then moved to the WMC (Western Maine
Conference). From the years 1981-1997 they were members of the SMAA. In 1998
there was a switch to the WMC. Then once again in 2004, the Red Storm
went back into the SMAA when they moved from Class B to Class A. The team
has had its share of success in both conferences. Winning back to back titles
in 1994 & 1995 in the SMAA. While in WMC they were able to win four
straight titles from 1998-2001. The team been at or near the top spot the
last five years, finishing 3rd, 2nd ,
3rd, 2nd ,
1st respectively.
