Scarborough Boy's
Track & Field/XC is a highly successful Class A program that is
consistently among the top teams in the state of Maine. The Indoor team has won 11
Class B state championships, along with 9 runners-up trophies. Most recently in 2006, the team finished 2nd
in the Class A state meet. During the outdoor track season, Scarborough has won 10 Class B state championships.
In addition to the success at the state level, Scarborough Boy's track
program has won numerous regional and conferences titles as well.
Scarborough athletes have won 77 outdoor individual champions, 47 indoor
champions, 19 outdoor relay titles, as well as 6 indoor relay titles. The
most recent state champion was Taylor Burns 2006
outdoor racewalk champion.
The
Scarborough Boy's XC program is one of the top in State of Maine. The XC team
has been very successful on the trails over the years. Under the
direction of Coach Jim Harmon the program has reached new heights in the
past four seasons. The XC team has won the last three Class A State
Championships. Since the program began, it has won four State
titles, the first one was in a Class B State Championship in 1983, under
the guidance of Coach Steve Ross. During this past season of 2006, The
team was undefeated on their way to the State Championship.
